Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park

Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park Guilin City Travel ExperienceRiyue Shuangta Cultural Park is a huge park in the downtown of Guilin, Guangxi Province China. The park is built on the basis of Riyue Shuangta. Literally, Riyue shuangta refers to the Sun and Moon Twin Towers. And the towers stands in the middle of Shan Lake.

The Sun and Moon Twin Towers are very famous in China. They absorb the perception of the harmony of Confucianism, Buddhism and Taoism. The Riyue Shuangta Cultural Park is a set of culture, art, religion, architecture, science and technology and natural landscape.

The Sun Tower is as high as 41 meters with nine storeys. It consists of about 350 tons of copper. Besides, it has won three world records as the highest tower in the world. At the same time, it is the highest copper structure as well. Also the tower is the highest underwater elevator tower.

However, the Moon Tower has a height of 35 meters with 7 storeys. It is made of colored glass. On the other hand, the tower has amazing engravings and paintings everywhere. In the evening, the tower appears silver under the lights.

At the bottom of the two towers, there are religious statues such as Buddha. Moreover, many bronze works display there. The Moon Tower has the shrine of Yuelao on the 7th floor. In Chinese folklore, Yuelao is the God of Love and Marriage. Furthermore, standing on the top of the Sun Tower can get a full view of Guilin city.

Except that, an 18-meter-long tunnel connects the two tower under the lake surface. There are numerous pictures of fishes and water plants on the vaulted walls and ceiling inside the tunnel.

1. Sun and Moon Twin Towers

The Sun and the moon Twin Towers are the most famous tourist attractions in the water systems of the two rivers and four lakes in Guilin. It is opposite to the Bodhisattva of the sun and the moon in Song Dynasty in the Guihai Stele Forest. In addition, the two towers stick out to the clouds towards the sun and moon. That is why they get their names. Both towers are loft-style landscape towers.

2. Sun and Moon Twin Towers Square

There are many Chinese traditional elements on the square such as the Buddhism and Chinese calligraphy steles.
