10 Tibet Nagqu
Located in the north of Tibet ,Naqu is the largest city in land area with a total coverage of 450,537 km2 in the Tibet Autonomous Region.It is the center of Qinghai-Tibetan Plateau as well.Yangtze River, Nujiang River, Lhasa River and some other rivers are originated from here.The prefecture, of an average elevation of more than 4500 meters above sea level,has 1 district and 10 counties.Nagchu Town is the main center of Political, economic, cultural, transportation, information and communications in North Tibet.There are 400,000 living here.
Travel sources are rich here.Nature view has kept the same since ancient times.You can visit Zhang Zhung,the origin of Tibetan civilization and bon religion and attend Nagqu Horse Racing Festival ,a traditional feast in the vast grassland in the North Tibet especially enjoyed in the summer.Addtionally,the holy Mount Kailash and Lake Yamdrok,famous for its beauty and sanctity in the world,are definitely worth visiting as well.
