What you can expect

We will leave Lhasa in the morning around 9am. Our local Tibetan English tour guide and driver will pick you up from Lhasa Ganggyan Hotel parking lot on Beijing East Road in the historic center. If you have a special request for meetup location we can happily accommodate that as well.

On your way to Yamdrok Lake, you will enjoy the landscape of the grand Tibetan Plateau and see the living habitat of rural Tibetans. We arrive at Yamdrok Lake before noon. Once there, you can either take a stroll by the lake, climb up to Gambala Pass, enjoy lunch in front of the great view, or ride yaks. You can spend the leisure time any way you want. We will start heading back in the afternoon and arrive at Lhasa around 4-5 pm.

If you feel like spending some time visiting Tibetan rural village or having a unique Tibetan home dinner on the same day, you can refer to our Sambhu Village Tour or Lhasa Food Tour itinerary and customize your Yamdrok Lake tour the way you want!
